Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon answering questions.

December 11, 2010

Dear Pastors:

On Monday Evening at a reception in Anaheim, California, Israeli Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon was asked the following question by a Jew:

"We have here [at the reception] Ministers of the Christian Community, and yet the Message from Israel all the time is "We cannot be for it [Christian Community’s message and methods,] [certainly not]supporting it. What can be done, not only from the [Israeli] Government, but also from the people of Israel, to have a more unified, unitorm, consistent message sent from Israel?" [The questioner is a friend of mine, a Jew, who wants the Israeli government to show more support for the Solidarity of the Christian Community with the Jews in Israel.]

Moshe Ya’alon answered thusly:

"Its quite difficult to get one message from the state of Israel [laughter.]

"You know that we say, when we have two Jews, we have six in a box [laughter.]

"It is a challenge for the people who live in Israel. It is a challenge for all ‘western-like-minded-people.’ I believe that ‘western-like-minded-people’ are ready to be deluded, to be deceived, to be mis-led. This is my observation.

"A phenomena — like minded people, the United States, in Europe — part of it is what I call "Solution-ism!" They know what the solution is. There are those who believe that, for any problem, "We have the solution!" They say, "Enrich the world."

"Human beings should be more modest. We don’t have solutions. In political issues, in medicines, in mathematics, IT IS UP TO GOD! We should be more modest.

"A second phenomena is ----In the era of instant food, we want "food now" as well as "Peace Now!"

"We should be patient. We should follow our values. We should follow our compass, our interests.

"But, since we are in a hurry, we try to make "concessions," we try to "Peace-make" — all for what?

"You cannot defeat Jihadist-type-ideologies by concessions and peace-making. We have to defeat them.

"A third Phenomena —"If it doesn’t work," we blame ourselves [referring to self-blame of the Jews,] Its OK to blame ourselves — In Israel, we blame the Prime Minister, and....replace him." [Laughter.]

"But, generally speaking, Israel is blamed by its Western Allies. You [the Israelis] have to give up. You [the Israelis] have to go to further concessions. All the problems of the world are because of the "Israeli-Palestinian" problems! Is it the case?

"And, our allies want to sacrifice Israel in order to appease our enemies. They want to sacrifice Israel. The enemies are not just the enemies of Israel. THEY ARE THE ENEMIES OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION. [Much applause!]

"So, yes, because of this — there is an [unintelligible] discourse in Israel. It is part of the darkness. All of this strategy is part of the "darkness." We have got to follow a strategy which is based on our faith.

"Mankind cannot be manipulated by possible enemies. We must follow the strategy which is based on our faith." [Applause!]

I thought you might get a blessing out of this answer. I have typed it hoping that I have gotten all his answers correctly.

I remain, sincerely and gratefully, your dutiful friend and obedient servant,

Letter to Vice PM Moshe "Boogie" Ya'alon

October 18, 2010

Dear Boogie:

Its 12:42 AM. Having another of my tumor attacks, vomiting, runs, and atrocious pain. Can’t sleep, so I thought I would write you. One of these days this thing will get me, and you’ll get the News "Ole JAV has gone, undeservingly, to HEAVEN via the Hebrew MESSIAH, Jeshua!"
Let me give you a local News Article:

Why Oklahoma Voters Should Vote "Yes" on State
Question 755

State question 755 specifically addresses prohibiting Oklahoma courts from looking at sharia law when deciding court cases. Sharia law, codified by Islamic scholars over 1,000 years ago, is based upon precepts contained in the Koran and the hadith (the sayings and traditions of Mohammed).

Sharia law is incompatible with American constitutional law and Oklahoma law. Under sharia law:
Women are second class citizens, having fewer rights than men. For instance, in a court of law a woman’s testimony is worth only half a man’s testimony. A woman accused of rape must produce up to four male witnesses who will confirm that she was raped. A husband can demand sex from his wife and she must comply.

"Apostates," those who leave Islam, commit a crime and can receive punishment that includes the death penalty.
Those caught in adultery can be stoned to death. This punishment is usually meted out against women, including women who claim they have been raped but cannot produce male witnesses to corroborate their claims.

Muslims are required to pay the "zakat." The zakat is a compulsory charitable gift that cannot be given to non-Muslims. One of the accepted recipients of zakat is "those fighting for Allah…volunteers for jihad." (Source: The Reliance of the Traveller: A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law, p. 272.) In other words, under sharia law Muslims can give money to those fighting in jihad against "infidels." This is one of the reasons why over two dozen Islamic charitable organizations have been designated by the federal government as funders of terrorist organizations.

Mosque and state are one. There is no legal distinction between religion and government. There is no "separation of church and state."

Criticism of Islam and the prophet Mohammed is a criminal offense. Freedom of speech is severely restricted under sharia law.

There are those who contend Oklahoma’s prohibition of sharia law is unnecessary, but consider these facts.

Sharia law was applied to a case in New Jersey in 2009. A Muslim woman sought a restraining order against her husband, who was repeatedly beating and raping her. The judge denied the restraining order, ruling that no crime was committed because the husband was acting according to his belief in Islamic law.

In 2002 a divorce case in Richardson, Texas was remanded to the Texas Islamic Court.

Many Muslim leaders in America are on record publicly calling for Islamic law to replace constitutional law. For instance, Omar Ahmad, co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said this in 1998:
"Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Qur’an should be the highest authority in America." (San Ramon Valley Herald, July 4, 1998).

For these reasons and more, we urge Oklahoma voters to vote "YES" on State Question 755.

Boogie, the same Ishamelite Throat Slitters you have trying to take over and keep your NATION, have the same program for doing the same to Oklahoma.
Therefore, as an "Ole One Foot in the Grave" warrior-preacher I don’t take your "friend and brother" comment lightly, and folks who’ve known me for the entirety of my life have known that this ole "nobody, poor boy from the Panhandle of Texas, when he says "I am your friend" can be counted on. I would rather die than my word not be met. I am one of Proverbs "sweareth to his own hurt" Sinners Saved by the Grace of God.
Anyway, there is a tremendous amount of problems on your plate, and I won’t keep you. But, I wanted to write and encourage you as I did in your office Aug. 9, ‘GOD HAS BROUGHT YOU TO THE KINGDOM FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!’

The Lord Willing I shall see you in less than two months in another state, and for security reasons won’t mention where.

Then, the Lord Willing, I am looking forward to putting on the Football Exhibition Games for the IDF units in February, and possibly get an Exhibition games with your pro teams. You said it was a "great idea." Two deaf football players, Justin and Dante, gave me the idea.

May the Lord Bless you richly beyond all your capabilities as you make decisions and give input to the Nation of Israel.

I remain, indebted to your pulling my chestnuts out of the fire repeated, and gladly, for your friendship, your dutiful friend, brother, and chaver,

Copy of a Letter to Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya'alon

June 14, 2010

Dear Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon:

Knowing, Minister Ya’alon, that you "dear Everlastingly Covenanted" ones sit on the threshold of a "Security Issue" war, I would like to pass on to you an observation I have picked up from the Middle East through my reading.

Saudis air corridor is open, US, Israel self-immobilized on Iran

http://www.debka.com/article/8845/

The Saudi air corridor offered Israel for an attack on Iran reported in the London Times of Saturday, June 12, was an old story rehashed by Riyadh in the hope of egging the US and Israel on to break free of their self-imposed restraints and halt Iran's drive for a nuclear bomb before it is too late.

Middle East sources report the explosive developments of the last two weeks, primarily the meteoric rise of a thrusting partnership between the two non-Arab powers, Turkey and Iran, have badly rattled Arab capitals, especially when they see the Obama administration and Netanyahu government immersed in tying themselves and each other in knots over the format of an inquiry into Turkish flotilla incident.

The London Times reported that Saudi Arabia had conducted tests to stand down its air defenses to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Riyadh was said to have agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance for a bombing run on Iran.

To ensure the Israeli bombers pass unmolested, Riyadh has carried out tests to make certain its own jets are not scrambled and missile defense systems not activated.

"The Saudis have given their permission for the Israelis to pass over and they will look the other way," said a US defense source in the area.

Sources in Saudi Arabia say, "It is common knowledge within defense circles in the kingdom that an arrangement is in place if Israel decides to launch the raid. Despite the tension between the two governments, they share a mutual loathing of the regime in Tehran and a common fear of Iran’s nuclear ambitions."

Appearing in the week UN sanctions were approved against Iran, this report amounted to a Saudi no-confidence vote in its value.

According to the New York Times, the Obama administration has prepared Plans A, B, C. and D, if sanctions fail to stop Iran's push for a nuke.

Now, Boogie, the New York Times has quoted our Marxist-Muslim President as saying in April: "…once Iran passes a certain point, it may be impossible to know when it has taken the last steps to manufacture a (nuclear) weapon."

But, low expectations of the sanctions are no secret in Washington either.

This did not stop defense secretary Robert Gates speaking after a NATO meeting in Brussels on June 11, from whipping out the rusty device beloved of the Bush administration: "I think everyone agrees we have some more time, including the Israelis. …I would say the intelligence estimates range from one to three years."

In the Middle East meanwhile, THESE LATTER DAY events are rushing forward with explosive haste, impelled in the last ten days by that Turkish-led flotilla for breaking the Gaza blockade, the way, which my read, from the Blue Bay Hotel in Netanya, led your Defense Minister to handle it, which I might add, that since I know the number two man, personally, who commands the Israeli Navy Seals, I don’t think he would have accomplished it in that manner, had he not been apprised by your Defense Minister to do so!

The rise of the Turkish-Iranian alliance has not only thrust America and Israel to the wings the Middle East stage, but is deeply alarming Cairo, Riyadh, the Gulf emirate and even Syria.

They suddenly see Prime minister Recep Erdogan and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dictating the region's agenda with no one there to stop them.

Within days, the balance of power in the region has been reshuffled to extend way beyond Tehran's hand on Hizballah's levers in Beirut and the Palestinian Hamas in Gaza.

Iran has acquired an important member of NATO as a proactive ally.
Gates' only comment on this development was: "I was disappointed by the Turkey vote on the Iranian sanctions. That said, Turkey is a decades-long ally of the US and a member of NATO. Turkey continues to play a critical part in the alliance."

The News which I read, Boogie, is that "Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and defense minster Ehud Barak are just as laggard in addressing the formidable new axis looming over the region and the Jewish state, in particular."

They are too busy quibbling with Washington over the shape of the impartial commission the UN has demanded for probing Israel's actions against the Turkish-led flotilla of May 31 - though certainly not, perish the thought, Turkey's role or the Erdogan government's close ties with the IHH terrorists aboard the Turkish ship.

What Netanyahu and Barak have not told the public is that the dickering with the Obama administration has dragged out for five days because the US wants the impartial commission empowered to question the Israeli officers and soldiers who raided the Mavi Marmara in a clash which left 9 Turks dead, and several wounded including six Israel commandos.

If Obama has his way, Israeli soldiers will for the first time face questioning by American and European investigators. Israeli leaders understand that compliance would add fuel to the international campaign for de-legitimizing the Jewish state as a sovereign state and respectable member of the world community of nations.

The Israelli Defense Forces would be further immobilized under a sustained international campaign to discredit them on the lines of the Goldstone report on the Gaza war - only this time Washington is taking the lead in the de-legitimacy campaign.
With no one apparently available for keeping Iran out of the nuclear club, Riyadh did what it could.

Using the London Times platform, Saudi Arabia's princely rulers opened the door to positive action in order to lift morale in the oil kingdom and its army and remind Washington, Jerusalem and the other Middle East players that soft sanctions need not be the last word; they are offering Israeli bombers a corridor for striking Iran's nuclear facilities and chance to reshape the region's declining reality.

The air corridor is now clearly open but still unused. There appears to be no one in Washington willing or able to order the bombers to take off.

[end of article]

Therefore, as a Representative of the Evangelical Christian Community, specifically Independent Baptists, which are counted by American and World News Media in the Evangelical Christian Community, it is with all vigor that I urge you Mr. Vice Prime Minister, to use all the persuasive powers you have to "order the bombers to take off," as for sure, should you Members of the Netanyahu Government "dilly-dally" the Turks and Iranians will beat you to "the punch," which your nation cannot have!

Up at Birant, overlooking Hizballah positions across the border in Southern Lebanon, one week ago tomorrow, Boogie, one of your outstanding Brigadier Generals invited this ole preacher-warrior to come there to his Headquarters when this upcoming war breaks out, and I have advised the Bride of My Youth that once again, I shall be at the side of the Israelis in one of their conflicts.

From your second Lebanon War, in 2006, I can still remember "the adrenalin rushes, the swooshing katyusha rockets, the explosions, the Cannon shooting in return," which was the reason that the L-D G-D ALMIGHTY allowed me the privilege of feeding IDF TROOPS, and then as a consequence of making your acquaintance!

But, also, in January 2009, during Operation Cast Lead, I can distinctly remember the Rockets and Bombs falling from the Helicopters and Fighter Jets, of course, on the night I arrived down between Sderot and Gaza, and then being there for another ten days.

Those two trips, however, probably won’t be more exciting than this upcoming one, because, Boogie, I believe we are getting very close to the coming of MESSIAH, and so much so, that if I use this vivid imagination my parents and the L-D G-D gave me, I believe that I can hear HIS footsteps in the sand of Israel!!!!!

One of our concerned Christian ladies said to me yesterday, "Oh, Preacher, what if you get killed in one of Israel’s wars?" To her I replied, "What better place to go to Heaven than from the Promised Land?!"

It is my prayer, Mr. Vice Prime Minister, that G-d Almighty’s richest and best blessings will be yours today!

I remain, sincerely and gratefully, your dutiful friend and obedient servant,

Letter From Vice Prime Minister Ya'alon To Givati Families

This letter was written to be read in lieu of Vice-Prime Minster Moshe Ya'alon being at the Givati Family opening ceremony in person. With all of the political turmoil over the Turkish Flotilla incident, Minister Ya'alon was forced to cancel his speaking engagement at the ceremony. This letter was read to all of the 400 family members during the opening ceremony Thursday night, and printed out and given to each family.

Members of the Givati family,
Colonel Moni Katz- Commander of the Givati Brigade,
Dr. Jim Vineyard, Yedidim of Israel

Dear Friends.
I'm honored to have this opportunity to offer my warmest greetings as you gather tonight in this Givati family Celebration.
The Givati Brigade, formed in 1983, has always been in the forefront of the IDF forces in times of combat, as well as in the regular line of duty.
Dear Families, each one of you has become through sad circumstances a member of this special Givati group.

In fact, by sad coincidence today, another family has joined your ranks. I would like to take this opportunity of expressing my deepest condolences to the family of the Givati fallen soldier- a tragic accident which occurred earlier today while he was participating in army training - May his soul rest in peace.

To conclude, I would like to express my deep appreciation to all the efforts made on behalf of the IDF forces by one of Israel's most dedicated Yedidim Dr. Jim Vineyard and his very supportive assistant Mr. David Sloan.
As a Minister in the Israeli government and a former head chief of staff I send my warmest wishes and my thoughts are with all of you tonight.

Moshe Yaalon
Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Strategic Affairs
